A Road Trip

Brynly and I went with Kathryn and her friend Sally George on a little road trip.  We stopped at the new City Creek Center Mall in Salt Lake, it is a fun place!! 

 We were off to St. George where we stayed with my Grandma and Grandpa Gardner. They took us to an AMAZING breakfast at Kneaders, their cinnamon french toast is DELISH!! Then they took us to this cute park with a splash park near the temple.  I love the landscaping around the city!

 After some shopping and Brynly did lots of swimming, we went to Tuacahn Amphitheater and saw the musical Aladdin with the George girls...it was phenomenal. It was so much fun to watch, they had real camels, fireworks, parts of the show were in 3-D, it was just fantastic.  We had premier seats on the second or third row, it couldn't have been better.  Brynly loved every second of it!

We then got to listen to General Conference on our way home...it was a great little trip!

Annual Daddy Daughter Camping Trip

At the end of every summer Trent takes the girls 4 and older on a camping trip.  They took the trailer and went up near Heise Hot Springs. They spent 2 nights away and had a ball with dad!

Family time at Yellowstone National Park

We went a little family get-a-way to Island Park and stayed at the cabin and went to Yellowstone National Park. We started at Old Faithful...

So Trent insisted that we drive through the entire park. I get car sick so I drove the entire way.  We were on about the 5th or so hour of boring drive when Lexy yells that she needs to go potty...we were no where close to a potty.  She is NOT one to just go outside either, she needs a good clean bathroom before anything can happen.  We tell her the very next one we will stop, she says it at least 2 or so more times and we are in the middle of nowhere.  The next thing we know she is throwing up all over Brynly's feet, that started pure chaos.  Brynly starts freaking out, screaming, and dry heaving. Meanwhile Lexy is crying and screaming that she got vomit it all over her dress, and keep in mind that Trent does not handle throwing up well AT ALL. This was extremely not awesome. We had to strip Lexy down and wash her stuff out in the creek, wipe up the car, and then try to calm down Brynly who ran out of the car and was standing by a tree 15 feet away from the car still dry heaving and furious.  In order to get Brynly to get back in the car and to stay in the car (because she couldn't stand the smell that you could hardly smell after we cleaned) she had to put a cinnamon old fashioned candy up to her nose the rest of the way out.  I think another decade will be sufficient before I need to visit Yellowstone again, and note to self...Lexy gets car sick! :)
