It's making me weird....

Brynly's word of the week is weird. Everything around her is weird. Home Depot smells weird, the dog is acting weird, and the cows smell weird. Yesterday she came up the stairs screaming at the top of her lungs. I asked her what happened and as she is hyperventilating says,"I heard a fly buzzing and it is making me weird"!

Word of Caution

Next time the thought comes to your mind that your kids haven't been sick for a while, quickly remove that thought. More importantly, whatever you do, do not say it out loud or you will be cursed!! On Monday Amberlee and I were talking about her kids who are sick, and I said it was nice because my kids haven't been sick for a long time. Big mistake, BIG, HUGE!!! The next day we woke up to Emry throwing up and other bodily function issues. We are now on day two of sickness, it is not pretty. I feel so bad because she can't tell me what is wrong, she just cries. It is so hard to have sick kids and not be able to make them better. So a word of caution to all parents do not curse yourself by saying anything remotely close to this out loud.

What A Deal!

Anyone who knows me knows that DI isn't really high on my favorite stores to shop in, I don't know why, it is a mental thing. I do, however, like it when others find deals there for me. This stroller is one of those deals that Angie(my sister)and her husband Brady found. It's like brand new, and it was only $8!! What a deal! So we decided to take it out for a walk today, and boy is it a work out since it is soooo big! The girls loved it, they can't wait to play outside!

I wanted to show this cute picture of Bryn and my dad playing dominoes at the cabin this past weekend. She loves to play dominoes, candyland, rummy, matching, slap jack, pretty much any game anyone will play with her! She is a gamer for sure!

The House That Fell

Brynly without fail makes us chuckle throughout the day with her stories and view of life. Today as Brynly, Emry and I were out running errands we passed a little basement house. Bryn noticed the house and said "Oh no, mom look at that house, it fell down, its stuck and scared!" I just love to hear what she thinks about the world around her, she makes me laugh a lot!

Yummy Caramel Sauce

2 2/3 c. packed brown sugar
1 c. corn syrup
1 cube butter
1 can sweetened condensed milk

In a large saucepan combine brown sugar and corn syrup and cook until it reaches a boil. Add the butter and cook until mixture reaches a boil and butter melts. Add the sweetened condensed milk and bring to a full boil for 1-2 minutes or longer if you want it to be more chewy or hard.

We made this for the baby shower the other night to have on ice cream sundae's and it was scrumptious!

Brynly's Snow Man

Brynly couldn't wait to build a snowman this weekend with grandpa at the cabin, so here is her snow man and a snow dog. There is still tons of snow in Island Park!!
This was driving home today Emry and Kyler (Missy's little boy)always hold hands when they sit by each other in the car-- it is so cute!

IT'S A GIRL!!

I am so excited to get a niece! I have only one nephew and in July I will finally have a niece. We are so excited for Jared and McKenna to have their little girl because we NEED cousins to play with! (or in Brynly's case to boss around) This picture is from the baby shower we had for them last night, doesn't she look cute! Jared and Kenna are here for the weekend for spring break, they live in Mesa, AZ right now where Jared is getting his degree in nursing. We are going to Island Park for the weekend because he wants to play in the snow he has been missing all winter!

1. Brynly's middle name is Fayth. Her birth family named her Faith and requested that we include it in her name. This was a simple thing to do after the amazing gift they gave us. We decided to spell it Fayth after her Grandma Dabell whose middle name is Fay after her mother. 2. She loves BOOKS! She has loved being read to since birth. She memorizes them and "reads" them to her sister.3. She loves to sing. She can actually stay on tune learns songs very quickly.
4. One of her first words was "self", she is very independent and loves to help do everything--especially cook.
5.Brynly loves the water and is very brave! She loves to go off the diving board, go under water, ride the tube behind the boat. She is not brave when it comes to spiders/bugs--she hates them with a passion. 6. She loves to eat and will eat anything!

Everyone is her best friend and she has her grandparents as well as her aunts and uncles wrapped around her little finger. She was the first and only grandchild on both sides of the family until Emry came along so you can imagine how spoiled she is!!! She is very sweet to her little sister and plays well with her. 1.Emry is very sweet and loving. She has had a smile on her face since she was four weeks old, people ask us all the time if she is always so happy.

5. She loves baths and swimming. 6. She adores her older sister and wants to do everything she does. She is very loved by our family and friends.

Deep Breaths

Can you guess who the guilty person is in this situation? Take a peek under the table and you will notice a three year old in hiding. We had a similar situation last week when she spilled half a pitcher of OJ, dumped a can of enchilada sauce down the front of her, and spilled fingernail polish--in the same day! These are the days when you try to smile take a deep breath and clean again!! Brynly is a very independent girl and loves to prove that she can do things by her self and I love that about her(most days)!
